WHY DOES MY PRE-WORKOUT CLUMP?

When it comes to getting an energy boost during your workout, taking PRE-WORKOUT supplements is a popular go-to. But why do these products have a tendency to go clumpy or sticky after being exposed to air? The answer lies in the fact that pre-workouts are hygroscopic, meaning they absorb moisture. Ingredients such as citrulline and Alpha GPC, which are commonly found in pre-workouts, are particularly prone to clumping when exposed to air for prolonged periods.

WHY DOES MY PRE-WORKOUT CLUMP?

One major culprit of clumping in pre workouts is the amino acid CITRULLINE. This ingredient is used in many pre-workout formulas as itcan help boost endurance and improve your Muscle Pump during your workout. Citrulline is a hygroscopic compound, which means that it naturally absorbs moisture from the air. If you’re storing a pre-workout supplement that contains citrulline in ahumid environment or leave it open after use, it’s likely that the supplement will start to clump up over time.

Another ingredient that is commonly found in pre-workouts that can clump is Alpha GPC. This compound is a choline-containingsupplement that is thought to help enhance cognitive function and boost strength. However, Alpha GPC is also hygroscopic, which means it can absorb moisture from the air, leading to clumping when it’s exposed to outside conditions.

Now, the question is: what can we do about the clumping of our favorite pre-workout formulas? One solution is to store your supplement in a cool, dry place. This could mean putting it in an opaque container in a dark cupboard or in the fridge. By keeping your pre workout in an environment that’s not humid, you’ll reduce the chance that moisture will collect in the supplement.

Another trick to place your clumpy pre-workout in the freezer for 48 hours. This takes out the moisture from the pre-workout and allows the product particles to be separated easily. Afterward, use a powerful blender to blend the mix back to its original powder or correct texture.

CLUMPING IS NORMAL FOR PRE-WORKOUT AND IN NO WAY DOES IT AFFECT THE EFFECTIVENESS OF THE PRODUCT !!

SO IF IT CLUMPS, BLEND IT AND CONTINUE TO USE AS DIRECTED.

“ IF IT DON’T CLUMP THERE IS NO PUMP ”
